  • amfAR - The American Foundation for AIDS research is the nations leading non-profit organization dedicated to the support of AIDS research, AIDS prevention, treatment education and the advocacy of sound AIDS related treatment policy.
  • AID Atlanta - AID Atlanta is a non-profit, community based AIDS services organization.
  • AIDS Survival Project - We are diverse people living with HIV, united to promote self-empowerment and enhanced quality of life for HIV-affected individuals through advocacy, education, peer support, and treatment activism.

  • HOTLINE INFORMATION - AIDS hotlines are an invaluable resource for basic HIV/AIDS information. You can talk to someone knowledgeable about HIV or AIDS, and get referrals to various AIDS services in your city or state. Every state in the U.S. has a hotline and a few states also have numbers accessible for the hearing impaired. Typically, hotlines are open Monday through Friday 9 to 5 with some also open evenings and Saturdays. The National AIDS hotline in Washington, D.C. is the only hotline open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
  • AVERT (AIDS Education & Research Trust) - AVERT is a leading AIDS Education and Medical Research charity that is responsible for a wide range of education and medical research work with the overall aim of: preventing people from becoming infected with HIV, improving the quality of life of those already infected, through medical research working to develop a cure for AIDS.
  • www.aidsmeds.com - AIDSmeds.com is dedicated to providing people living with HIV the necessary information they need to make empowered treatment decisions. The founder and writers of this web site are all living with HIV and know first hand the challenges of learning how to fight this virus.
  • AIDSupport is a program of JF&CS which provides the Jewish community with AIDS awareness, prevention education, volunteer opportunities and support. A special feature of this program is L'Chaim! a Teen Peer Education Program, where teens make safer, healthier and more informed choices about their behavior.     COMING OUT INFORMATION:
    • "Coming Out Over the Age of 30"
      On August 1st., 2002 a new men's group entitled: "Coming Out Over the Age of 30" will begin. The group will be composed of men, 30 and older, who are in the process of coming out. We will meet at The Atlanta Church of Religious Science, 2801 Buford Highway NE, Suite T-30, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. The Group will meet for 5 weeks with our final group meeting on August 29th. Space will be limited and we anticipate the demand to be high. Participation will be done on a first-come-first-served basis. For enrollment please e-mail: bbrackney@flightline.com or contact (770) 241-2600. Please leave your name and secure e-mail address or phone contact. All names and phone contacts will be held in strictest confidence. You will be notified via your e-mail (preferred choice) or phone contact, of your enrollment or wait list status. Wait listed participants will be placed on a priority wait list and given first opportunity to enroll the following month. Cost for the five week enrollment is $100.

    • The Mother's Circle -  The Mothers Circle Program is an umbrella of free educational programs and resources for non-Jewish women raising Jewish children within the context of intermarriage or a committed relationship, sponsored by the Jewish Outreach Institute through a grant from the Marcus Foundation. The Mothers Circle began as a pilot program in Atlanta, but is now a national program.

    • Anti-Defamation League - Founded in 1913, the Anti-Defamation League is the nation's permier civil rights/human relations agency fighting antisemitism, prejudice and bigotry whenever and wherever it occurs, supporting all people's right to be, regardless of religion, race, gender, age or sexual orientation.
    • The Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus
    • www.atlantapride.org - This festival is an annual celebration/fund raising event held the last weekend in June, commemorating the STONEWALL Riots in NYC that launched the modern GLBT rights movement. The festival attracts over 300,000 participants from the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgendered community and supporters. This is the largest festival of its kind in the southeast and one of the largest in the country.
    • The Atlanta Executive Network is s focal point for gay and lesbian business and professional people whose mission is to enhance business contacts and friendships through networking, eliminate discrimination and promote diversity in the workplace and foster leadership in business and government by networking at the meetings. Each meeting includes a nationally or locally prominent speaker and thirty minutes are reserved for networking.
